Chicken Parmesan Ingredients
4-5 chicken breasts- boneless and skinless
4 tablespoons flour
2 large eggs
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup pasta sauce
1 cup shredded cheese blend of your choice
seasonings you like – for this dish I use garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, basil.
Instructions Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Put the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic or ziplock bag. Using a rolling pin to flatten it to 1/2 inch thickness. Season well. In three bowls add the flour to one, eggs (beaten) to one, and the panko mixed with Parmesan cheese to the other. Dredge the chicken in the flour, then the egg and press it into the panko mixture. Add the olive oil and butter to a pan on medium high heat. Cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown (it’ll be raw inside still). Add the chicken to a baking sheet and add 1-2 Tbsp pasta sauce on top then top with the shredded cheese. Cook for about 20 minutes/until chicken is cooked through. Pasta Cook according to package instructions and drain. Put back into the pot with seasonings and 5 Tbsp butter. Stir to combine. Seasonings I like to use for this are the same as above. Sauce I put the remaining sauce in a pot, warm it, so it can be used as extra sauce for the pasta/chicken. Enjoy!
